Zoom in Loss forced the British Airways to Cut 1200 Jobs

British Airways reveled a heavy loss in its first half on Friday and axed an extra 1200 jobs in an essential cost reduction programme. British Airways posted a loss after tax of $361 million during the six months to September 30 compared with a loss of equivalent in 2008.

Mr.Wilie Walsh the BA Chief Executive said in comments accompanying news of the company’s deep loss. Most of the new losses would be outside Britain and follow a high response from staff agreeing to work parttime or take voluntary redundancy to help secure the airline’s future.
