World Bank has agreed to provide $3 billion loan for developing National Highways and this amount is used for converting 6372 Km of one lane highway into two lane. The Road Transport Minister Kamal Nath stated that for the first time world Bank is willing to provide the funds for developing the Roads. Nath also announced the construction of 18000 Km of Express ways in the country.
