Punjab became the Sixth State in the country to adopt SEI Act. the biggest Private investment proposal for the Farm Sector. The State Cabinet decided to terminate the agreement with the Mukesh Ambani led RIL for setting up Mega Agricultural Project. The Mou signed between Punjab Govt and RIL where RIL has to develope the Punjab and give employment to farmers and Punjab Government give the land on concessional rate to RIL. Govt has cancelled the agreement in lieu that RIL has not done anything on the land of Punjab till today.
