Union Government has decided to lower down the high prices of sugar by extending the duty free import of raw sugar. This will help in lowering down the prices of sugar. The Centre has also decided to allow private traders to import refined sugar at zero duty. Food and Civil Supplie Minister Sharad Pawar said that duty free import of white sugar will be allowed till Nov30,2009. These majors help in the availability and price to remain under control in the country.
