Bourses to start early

On the first day of trading this year the sensitive index (Sensex) of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) rallied during the last hour of trade to close 97 points up even as heavyweights Reliance Industries and Bharti Airtel ended losers.

The Sensex opened at 17473 points and rose to 17582 points during the closing hour before ending the day at 17561 points a 0.56% increase from the previous close. By the early trade volume has picked up but it is a long exercise for the Fund Houses and Brokerage Houses.
